Down pants
"These down pants are so awesome for any time you need some extra warmth and comfort. They pack down so small they are worth keeping in your pack at all times. They also serve as a safety incase I get stuck somewhere without a sleeping bag. Slip them on and your good for the night. These are awesome."
Warm and versatile
"Super light and warm pants. They pack down very well and like all Skre gear are well made. I'm 5'11 and 170 lb and wear size large which allows for an underpant or base layer. I wore them on a recent ride here in BC in place of my heavier bib pants and these were more comfortable lighter weight and just as warm. Highly recommend this pant, like all Skre product for the quality and customer service."
Overall happy, weight higher than expected
"Really happy with Skre's customer service and my initial impressions with these pants. Comparable pants from competitors would be significantly more expensive to try, especially considering international shipping expenses. I was unsure what size to order but I appreciated Skre's liberal exchange policy. Hard to know whether any company is using vanity sizing or real measurements. I was swimming in an XL, and Large ended up being a perfect fit. For reference I am 6'2, 225 lbs, athletic build. 36" around at the belt line. Typically wear 34x34" Wrangler or Carhartt jeans My only criticism at the moment is the weight. Advertised weight is 17. 4 oz (I thought this referenced a Large size, as with the matching jacket), but my measured weight is 21. 7 oz. Not the end of the world, but 4 oz is enough to take these pants from a lightweight contender to a heavyweight one."

"The pants are great, shipping not so much. I ordered two pair and only got one. Shipping was also slow. I was hoping to get out of the Kuiu game but I'm not impressed with shipping quality and time."

- Do the legs have zippers so I can take them off with out removing my boots?
- You got it! We have two way zippers for that exact purpose.
- Will 4xl fit 50 waist
- Generally the largest our bottoms or pants will fit is a 42' waist.
- Would I need to size up to fit over regular pants/ hunting pants? Plan to use them for whitetail hunting in late season.
- If you run a base layer and pants under them, we recommend sizing up one size.
- Are the Ptarmigan pants sized to fit over pants? If I wear 32 pants, do I get 32 Ptarmigan or do I need 34?
- Depends on what you plan on layering underneath. If its only a pair of Hardscrabble pants you can pick your normal size. If you are running multiple layers underneath then size up.
- I hunt North Dakota and northern MN. What are some of the average temps everyone is using these in?
- -10 to 40 degrees with appropriate layering under them.
- Are these able to fit under the hardscrabble pants or as an outer layer
- They were designed to fir over the Hardscrabble Pants. They have reinforced/waterproof knees and rear-seat.
